X t a t i c - X p a n s i v e : Ecstasy is a state of self-transcendence, an expansion of our awareness to connected-oneness. Ecstatic ceremonies have been a cornerstone of cultures throughout history and are still performed in many parts of the world today.
Altered states of consciousness can be a useful tool to release things that no longer serve us and manifest new realities that align with our true purpose. There are many other tools available to expand our consciousness, and we invite you to explore these in the intentional and supportive setting of Featherstone Castle.

Tell us about your stay!

The Samhain X-X Gathering runs from the 12th to 22nd October. The Love Healing Retreat runs from the 1st to 10th October at the same castle. There is one day in between when faeries are welcome to stay at the castle and bridge the energies between the two gatherings.
We have been asked to vacate the castle by 12 noon on Tuesday 22nd October - please factor this into your plans.

Diversity at the gathering

We wanted to think a little differently about diversity at this gathering - and our thoughts have changed a little since the call...
To support the continuing expansion of diversity at faerie gatherings, we have chosen to increase the number of spaces offered to self-identifying minority/marginalised fae - but in a slightly different way to previous years.
We will do this by increasing the number of spaces offered to self-identifying fae by 20% relative to the total number of fae that have self-identified - to give an example, if 40% of fae self-identify, then we will offer 48% of the spaces to this group. This would only happen if there is a waitlist.
We are also offering to connect faeries that share a similar identity or experience. We will do this informally before the gathering and in a way that you feel comfortable with.
And lastly, if you would like to hold a minority-inspired ritual or event, we can support you in manifesting your ideas.
Do you self-identify as a minority/marginalised fae?
Have you answered no to the above question because you do not want to be considered in the space calculation, but would still self-identify as a minority/marginalised fae? We are asking so we can make more informed decisions at future gatherings.
Would you like us to help you informally connect with fae who share a similar identity before the gathering?
Would you like support manifesting a minority-inspired ritual or event?

Dietary needs

All meals will be vegetarian or vegan, and we will try to cater for any other dietary needs.
If you have any allergies, please let us know the severity. Whilst we cannot guarantee an entirely free-from environment, there is a separate kitchen where you can prepare individual meals if needed.
Do you have any dietary needs?

Sleeping at the castle

The castle has a mix of small and large multiple-occupancy rooms and a few single rooms - there is also space outside for campervans and tents.
Beds are claimed as faeries arrive, and we usually designate a few rooms/dorms based on the needs of those attending the gathering. In the past we have had a quiet dorm, a trans-only room etc.
The castle has a variety of accessible rooms (most are on the first floor close to a bathroom - with a bath but no shower - and on the same level as some of the main social areas). There is very limited ground floor accommodation and access to the main social areas involves stairs.
We cannot guarantee accommodating everyones needs, and will prioritise access needs and anyone who states their request is non-negotiable for attendance.
Where are you planning to sleep?
Do you require an accessible room?
Do you have any specific room requests? (this is just to gauge interest, we will not pre-allocate or book these rooms)
Are you planning to bring a dog to the gathering? And agree to be responsible for them at all times?

Our faerie community

Gatherings are co-created by everyone - there are no organisers or leaders at the castle.
Do you feel called to participate in the provision of these offerings at the castle?
Would you like to be involved in the planning before we arrive at the castle?

And finally..
